Sparky Harris/City of Sacramento and Adrian Engel/Mark Thomas & Company gave a presentation on the 65th Street Transit Oriented Design project at our Monthly Meeting on Friday February 5th, 2010. This project will provide a mix of housing types, intensify mixed-use development opportunities, improve pedestrian and bicycle circulation and access to light rail, and strengthens the connection between CSUS and the East Sacramento neighborhood. Tim Quinn, ACWA Executive Director, spoke at our Annual Joint APWA/ACEC Meeting on Friday January 8th, 2010. Mr. Quinn and his staff worked closely with the State Legislature on the Comprehensive Delta Water Package that will reshape the way California manages its water supplies. He has lead ACWA since July 2007 and has more than 22 years of experience in California water issues. ACWA is a statewide association whose 450 local public water agency members are responsible for about 90% of the water delivered in California.
