Ideal Candidate:

The City of Sacramento is seeking a Senior (Electrical) Engineer for the Department of Public Works, Engineering Services Division.  This individual will be responsible for managing staff and the design delivery of traffic signals and street lighting capital improvement projects.

The electrical design team is responsible for reviewing and approving traffic signals and street lighting projects proposed by private development in the City right-of-way. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Overall supervision and coaching of the group
• Workload and project schedule management
• Developing and presenting policies to City Council for approval
• Quality Control
• Coordinating with maintenance services personnel

This position also responds to complaints, resolves streetlight requests throughout the City, and requires working closely with other Department and Division staff, elected officials, local businesses, and neighborhood groups.
