Description :JUNE MONTHLY MEETING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PACIFIC IN ASSOCIATION WITH ASCE - CENTRAL VALLEY BRANCH MANAGING EXTREMES IN A WARMING WORLD SPONSORED BY Precision Concrete Cutting Friday, June 2, 2023 About the Presentation: Michael Anderson is going to present on "Managing extremes in a warming world" which will look at the recent wet and dry extremes and how they can be understood and characterized from a climate context. About the Speaker: Michael Anderson academic background includes a Masters degree and PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis. He is also the State Climatologist for California, a collaborative position between the State and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration to provide climate data services for California. He also manages the State’s Atmospheric River Research Program. Where: University of the Pacific - Presidents Room 3601 Pacific Avenue Stockton, California 95211 When: Friday, June 2, 2023.
