Accelerated Bridge Construction (Sponsored by Caltrans)
Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) is an innovative tool for construction or replacement of highway bridges. Proven benefits of ABC include improved work zone safety, better environmental outcomes, and reduced impacts on the traveling public, local businesses, and the goods movement industry. Caltrans is committed to mainstreaming ABC as an innovative project delivery tool for bridges on both the state and local highway systems. The presentation will define ABC, provide project case studies, and identify the benefits of ABC for local agency projects.
